Welcome to the home of PGV Themes!

If you are a PhpGedView user you will know that it comes with a standard set of themes. But you may not be aware that many users have created their own themes, either from scratch or by adaptation of one from the standard set.

This site has been created to encourage more people to develop themes; to share those already designed, and discuss any issues related to PGV themes. The site is separate but complementary to PGV's own home site (click here) and the SourceForge forums (click here).

Public visitors to this site can view screen shots of the themes at GALLERY; view full demonstrations of PGV and any of the themes on this site at DEMO; and read the discussions about all aspects of the PGV themes in FORUM.

If you care to register with us, then you can also download the latest themes (all entirely free); upload your own themes in FILES; contribute to any of the forum discussions; and add to our valuable store of FAQs.

The FAQ pages contain advice on how to use this site, and information about creating and using PGV themes.

VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

We have now upgraded this site to the latest release, PGV 4.1.6.

4.1.6 contains many important new features, especially a number of vital security enhancements. Most users will also notice performance improvements as well as some brilliant new features.

BUT there have also been many changes to the theme files. The changes are so significant that NONE of the themes available for download here today will function with this release unless they are clearly marked as compatible with version 4.1.6. We hope that theme developers will be among the early adopters of 4.1.6, and will quickly replace, or add versions of their themes here so that others can continue to use modified themes.

We ask all theme developers to look at their code and make the necessary changes as soon as possible. Please clearly mark your file package in the FILES section as '4.1.6 compatible' when you have done that.

JustBlack updated
The new JustBlack theme is ready for use. This theme is updated for use with version 4.2.1. You can find this new theme in the files section in the map 4.2.0

This update also supports the following modules:
- research assistant
- punbb forum
- lightbox
- google map

New in this update is the support for the punbb forum. For those who are using this forum you can now have the same style as your mainsite.

The readme.txt file in the zip contains further instructions.

New Theme - Rural

I added a new theme, called Rural, since it is based on both brown and green colors.

Enjoy the result at genea.jaubart.com. It is the first one on this site written for the version 4.2, but I hope a lot of other themes will follow.

New TurboOcean Theme
This theme was developed to load faster than the original ocean theme.
I did it for my aunt with the 56K modem. Naturally a theme can't solve all pgv speed problems, but on 56K you are thankfull for every speedup...

Colors theme updated to PGV 4.1.6

newThe popular "Colors" theme has been upgraded to be compatible with PGV's latest version (4.1.6)

We have Rob ('petersra') to thank for updating this very popular group of themes so it can work in the latest version of PGV. It can now be seen in operation on our DEMO section here, and can be downloaded from the "FILES" section.

Three new themes added

Three great new themes have recently been added:

"ZigZag", by Mary - an attractive new design based on the original Cloudy theme.

"May", also by Mary - a great new color scheme. Looks to be based on the "Wood" theme, with a vertical left hand menu system. Very nice.

"Aqua", by Brian - includes some really great new icons, perhaps of particular interest to Mac fans!

You can download them all from the "FILES" section; view them in the "GALLERY", and see them in action on the "DEMO" page.
